BancTec’s Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Division Stays Up Late

Expanded hours and days enhance service delivery for customers

BancTec, a global provider of advanced, high volume document and payment processing services and solutions, recently expanded the service hours provided by technicians in its ITSM division, enabling the company to win a significant new contract.

Said Brendan P. Keegan, BancTec senior vice president and president of the ITSM division, “We have always sought to do what is necessary to meet the needs of our clients, whether it is adding new capabilities or expanding our service footprint. Recently, a large technology provider wanted our technicians to be available after normal business hours and on weekends, in order to meet the needs of its customers. Acting quickly to re-align and expand our service delivery model, BancTec was awarded a significant amount of new business valued in excess of $6 million. We believe the real value will come when we scale this model across our entire customer-base, thus providing the ability to pursue other new business opportunities.”

BancTec’s ITSM division provides comprehensive deployment and maintenance (i.e., “break-fix”) services on computers, servers, printers, peripherals and networks for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and information technology outsourcing (ITO) service providers. The division services 100% of the United States, and includes significant operations in Canada and nine European countries. Of the division’s 1,217 employees, more than 1,000 are full-time engineers and technicians.
